Submit Abstracts

The Health & Justice Summit is an excellent platform to share your work.

Submit an abstract for a chance to be part of this year's Summit programme.  

Deadline Sunday 17th May 2026.

Please read all of the guidance below prior to making your submission - to ensure that you are clear on the requirements for abstract submissions and the offering for successful submissions. 

IMPORTANT

  • Abstract submissions should be up to maximum of ~200 words.
  • Abstract submissions must be relevant to at least one of the 2026 Summit themes, as detailed on the Programme page.

Upon submission, you can state your preference for a seminar, e-stream or poster. However, your preference is not guaranteed. If your abstract is accepted, the review committee will decide which format you will be offered. More details on each format are provided below, along with deadlines and key dates.  

Seminars

  • Up to five seminars will run in parallel to eachother and delegates will self-select which seminar they wish to attend. 
  • Length of presentation: TBC. Approx. 20 minutes with additional time for questions.
  • Format required: Standard powerpoint slide presentation (videos can be incorporated into presentation). 
  • Complimentary tickets: limit of one complimentary one-day ticket for the day of the presentation.  
E-Stream Seminars
  • The e-stream seminar will run in parallel to other standard format seminars, with delegates self-selecting which they attend. In each e-stream seminar there will be up to five short video presentations that play back to back, followed by an in-person Q&A (approx. 10 minutes) with a panel made up of one representative from each video.
  • Length of presentation: Short video presentation of approx. 3 to 5 minutes (exact length TBC).
  • Format required: Pre-recorded video presentation in MP4 format. This can easily be produced using the record option in PowerPoint, if you do not have other resources available.
  • Complimentary tickets: limit of one complimentary one-day ticket, for the day of the presentation. Note: There is no limit to the number of people that can be involved in the video.

Posters 

  • Posters will be displayed at the Summit for delelgates to view. This is not a poster presentation.
  • Format required: A3 portrait poster provided in both PDF and printed laminated format.
  • No complimentary ticket:  Attendance is not required, and therefore no complimentary ticket is available.
  • Delivery: To be sent in advance of the Summit or brought in person on the first day (ticket will need to be purchased). 

DEADLINES

  • Abstract submissions by: Sunday 17th May 2026 (No extensions available).
  • Results communicated: Week commencing Monday 8th June 2026.
  • Submit final presentation (slides, video, poster) by:  Monday 7th September 2026. 
  • If the final presentation/video/poster is not received by this date, we can not guarantee participation. 

Quality Assurance

  • Once the abstract submission deadline has passed, all submissions will be reviewed by the Health and Justice UK review committee, against quality assurance criteria.
